Hybrid of knowldge for Lesotho to prosper

Sebonomoea RK Ramainoane

I thank you friends for participating in today’s programme, those who posted their views a few days ago, here, are the real heroes, they give me the wisdom that was necessary for to navigate the Pusong ea sechaba ka sechaba talk-show.

I like the conclusion reached at the end of the show, that Lesotho needs to concoct her own hybrid of tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge in order to prosper and probably catch up with Botswana and Swaziland in all areas of economic development.

The intervention of Mr TÅ¡eliso ’Mokela Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Gender, Youth, Sport and Recreation gave the programme the imputus needed to make it a real information and education channel in the area of development and empowerment.

He humbly acknowledged that Lesotho is not doing enough in the field of knowledge management. Only, 150 young intellectuals are beneficiaries to government programme aimed at equipping youth with tacit knowledge.

Models from Botswana, Germany and Japan were discussed and found to be good examples for Lesotho to copy, modify and implement. Participants, did indeed suggest models suitable for this kingdom.

President Barrack Obama is said to have advised Africans to have a hybrid of tacit competence and explicit competence in order to be competitive.

Participants said institutions such as MOAFRIKA FM which have since made a name for themselves in the area of community empowerment and development should be exempted from tax for them to be able to give more learning opportunities to young Basotho.

Keep the culture of sharing information and knowledge alive, we need more of it. Let us take this culture to whatever level, place, occasion and/or event.

God bless you. Take care of yourselves, your loved ones, the young and the elderly. I honestly love you.

Dear friends, have a blessed weekend
.by Sebonomoea Rk Ramainoane on Friday, 29 July 2011 at 15:48.Your note has been created.
My dear friends, we are on the brink of a very busy weekend; a weekend of weddings, birthday celebrations, family re-unions, unveiling of tombstones, funerals and many other activies which may involve sport and recreation.

This is the time when political leadership may be visiting some rural places to canvass. Other parties will probably remain in towns holding crucial meetings, either strategising for the forthcoming elections or simply counting their stock.

What makes this weekend special? Nothing really, exept that it comes with a month end when a lucky few woud have recieved salaries, rent for their properties, pack-back from their debtors.

It is rather unusual for churches to have major events in winter, so not so much may be happening in the houses of the Lord.

The list is long friends, all I can say or should be saying is: Take good care of yourselves and of your nation. May the Lord of mercy shower you with His blessings in all the good things you will be engaged in.

However, we should all be mindful of this scripture. "Now all has been heard, here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep His commandmends, for this is the whole duty of man.

"For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing whether it is good or evil." Ecc. 12:13-14. Old Testament. I love you friends

July has been a "sunny" month for mkm in the courts of Lesotho.

Tuesday, 26 July 2011 at 16:37.Well, friends, I did promise you a judgement on the matter between MKM group of companies and the Central Bank of Lesotho.

Rather unfortunately, I have not as yet been able to lay my hands on the full text of the judgment, instead, I have the order of both the Court of Appeal and of the High Court.

Court o Appeal Order: Before His Lordship MMRamodibedi J.A. On July 17, 2011. Having read papers of record and having heard Counsels for applicants and respondends, it is hereby ordered that:

1. The execution of the judgment of the court a quo delivered on the 18th May 2011 is hereby stayed pending the determination of the appeal in case No. C of A (CIV) 24/2011.

2. Cost shall be costs in the Appeal.

3. Applicants shall file their Heads of Argument in case no. C of A (CIV) 24/2011 on or before August 8, 2011.

4. Respondents are to file their Heads of Argument on or before the 19th August 2011.

5. Appeal will be heard in October 2011 session of the Court of Appeal.

6. Reasons for appeal will follow.

By order of court.

Registrar.

Now, the Liquidators, not satisfied with the order of the Court of Appeal, rushed to the lower court, in this case, the High Court.

Their prayer was that they should be allowed to continue collecting rent from some of MKM's estates, particularly, the former Agric Bank building along Kingsway Avenue, so says Mr Lebuajoang Thebeeakhale, the man behind the MKM group of companies..

On July 25, 2011, the learned Judge Monaphathi had this to say: Having read papers of record and having heard counsel for the applicants and counsel for the respondents, it is hereby ordered:

1. 1st respondent's application for an Interim Order pending Appeal to Court of Appeal is dismissed.

2. No order of costs.

The 1st respodent in this matter was: The liquidators of MKM Marketing. Star Lion Gold Coin Investment. Star Lion Group Ltd. Star Lion Insurance.

Applicants were: 'Mamotlatsi Raphuthing. Matsheliso Selongoana. Litsebe Mokhachane. Nthabiseng Molete. Anna Mokoma. 'Maseabata Murray.

I trust this piece of info will be of assistance to some you friends, regarding the latest on the marathon MKM litigations. God bless you!

Freedom in our life time

Friends, lets please take advantage of this facility to seriously discuss good governance, economic planning and development.

Again, lets try and use it to share our views and urge others, especially the youth to participate in all structures of Lesotho government.

Please share inforamation and knowledge with others, in order for this kingdom to become a land of milk and honey in our life time.

Folks, staticians say the youth make 60 percent of Lesotho's populace. It is wrong, in a multiparty democracy for a majority to be ruled by a minority. You need to pul up your socks and go for it real hard.

Apart from this facility, take advantage of every gathering of youth to advance this idea: church, school, work, sport, taverns etc, etc.

Funerals further the mission and vision of MOAFRIKA FM

MOAFRIKA FM through its various departments, has just been drawn into a near area of operations, it never anticipated.

On Saturday, July 2, 2011 the community radio station was requested by the Sepake family, Thaba Bosiu Ha Mosalla to officiate over the funeral of 'Maisaka Justina Sepake.

During her lifetime 'Maisaka joined MOAFRIKA FM's Litotla group, a body comprising of married women whose marriages were blessed with children.

Litotla are best known for raising funds for the station and rallyiong it at difficult times such as when the government of Lesotho had disconnected its transmitter in the Mafeteng, and therefore hindered the station's transmition to both the southern and eastern Lesotho districts of Mafeteng, Mohale's Hoek, Quthing and Qacha's Nek.

The Sepake family asked for MOAFRIKA's officiation at the funeral alegedly because her Catholic Church had discommunicated her, citing her participation in Litotla activities the main reason, moreso, because most events went on Sundays. The defiant 'Masaka told them MOAFRIKA FM will officiate over her funeral in a manner more dignified than any funeral in that area.

Indeed, the funeral was regarded the largest and best organised in the village and its surrounds. Bishop Liau Thoahlaka took responsibility over the Friday services which culminated in collecting the deceased from the morque in Maseru and the all night vigil.

Archbishop John Mosiuoa Matsora headed the Saturday programme. He was assited by two bishops: Obed Mosiuoa Moshoeshoe and Obed Phamotse Makhatseane.

Chieftainess 'Makleinchere Ramainoane led the Litotla group. It turned out to be an event so unique it will be difficult to erase it from one's memory. The ruling party, Lesotho Congress for Democracy was reperesented by Mr Motlohi Moeno. He was so impressed by the service that he promised to assist MOAFRIKA FM acquire its on site from which to further its business interests.

'Mapaballo Molupe
This weekend Friday-saturday, July 8-9, 2011 the radio shall again be playing a leading role in the funeral of another Setotla, 'Mapaballo Molupe at Ts`oeneng Ha Mareka, Rothe.

Here, MOAFRIKA has been requested to run the whole show as if it was a MOAFRIKA event.

Already, supporters of the station have begun making various contributions, big and small; financial and in kind.

The most important thing about this funerals is that, they seem to be yet another avenue for furthering the mission and vision of the this station, which to empower Basotho as a people, in a manner that they will be able to reach their potential in all spheres of life.

Given the fact that 'Mapaballo had been a founding member of a Christian movement led by Arch-Apostle Sebonomoea RK Ramainoane, The Nation of Christ, the funeral shall this time around, feature the "man of the cross" from Friday to Saturday. You need to be there to feel it.

Praise and worship shall be led by the Aletare ea Tefelo songsters. Part of the service shall be recorded on video.
